Flying Lotus locks in full Australia 2014 tour

We already knew that enigmatic beatsmith Flying Lotus was headed our way to play the 2014 edition of Golden Plains alongside the likes of Public Enemy, Seekae and Mark Pritchard. But now, FlyLo’s gone one better and locked in a string of sideshows to round out the visit – from late February, the Brainfeeder don will be hitting Melbourne’s The Forum, The Hi-Fi in Brisbane, Perth’s The Astor and the Sydney Opera House for four headline shows.

FlyLo’s set to bring his Layer 3 live show along for the ride, spelling a return for the 3D spectacular he first debuted in Australia at Let Them Eat Cake’s NYD bash earlier this year. “Playing inside there is kinda crazy, ‘cause I’m used to being really close to everyone and being able to see everything,” he said when the show was first unveiled in late 2012. “But it’s a little difficult at the moment. In a way, it’s kind of cool, because I can really get inside my head with it and not worry if everyone’s going apeshit or not. I can just zone out and tell the story I want to tell. It really feels magical when you see it.” Take note of the full FlyLo dates below.
