Flying Lotus drops a new track, remixes the Twin Peaks theme for the hell of it

Flying Lotus might be busy in the world of movies lately — he’s just scored the forthcoming flick Lovetrue and directed his own film Kuso, which inspired mass walkouts at Sundance due to its high level of gore — but the Brainfeeder alumni is still keeping busy in the studio.

Today FlyLo has shared a new track called ‘Night Grows Pale’, built around a sample from Queen’s classic 1974 track ‘White Queen (As It Began)’.

FlyLo has also been having fun with throwback samples: at Seattle’s Upstream festival over the weekend, he took the opportunity to pay homage to Washington State’s most famous TV show by dropping a remix of the Twin Peaks theme.

The iconic ’90s television series will make its long-awaited return to our screens this Sunday, when the third season premieres via Showtime and Stan. The reboot has been in the works for a number of years, with the original announcement for its revival happening way back in 2014.

Fans were on hand to catch footage of Flying Lotus’ flip — listen to ‘Night Grows Pale’ below and keep scrolling for the Twin Peaks remix.
