Flume offers up his secret weapon Rustie edit for download

Ahead of the weekend, Flume’s Soundcloud lit up with a new, downloadable offering from the producer. As he put it, “Been playing this one out a fair bit. It’s an edit of one of my favourite Rustie tracks.” The original in question from the Glaswegian genre-bender is Slasherr, and it has been given an umistakeable Flume spin.

After returning from a U.S. trip where he was one of the most buzzed-about acts at SXSW in Texas, Flume set off on the ‘Infinity Prism’ Australian tour, complete with a new live rig. With the Future Classic star playing to over 35,000 people all up, his headline spin on home soil exceeded expectations. It’s fitting, then, that the tour’s been immortalised in the just-released video for On Top, which is made up of footage from his trek around the country. On Top is latest single to come from the hitmaker’s debut album, following on from the likes of Sleepless and Holdin’ On.

In July, Flume will set off for a whirlwind circuit of the UK and Europe, playing 15 shows in the space of a month. Some of those dates are at world-renowned festivals like Calvi On The Rocks, Wireless, Roskilde and Latitude. He’s also doing back-to-back nights at Heaven in London. Much further ahead, he’s been booked for the Holy Ship! cruise in 2014, along an all-star cast ranging from Skrillex and Boys Noize to Maceo Plex and Disclosure.
