Flume and Lorde dancing onstage is the best thing you’ll see today

Lorde joined Flume onstage at FYF Fest in LA yesterday for an impromptu dance-off just as the producer dropped his remix of Pure Heroine cut Tennis Courts.

Lorde shared a video of the moment on Instagram last night, writing that she’s never seen her friend Flume – aka Harley Streten – play live before, so she went to FYF to catch his set. “I kinda got peer pressured into sneaking up onstage and surprising him for a dance party in front of 20,000 people lol,” she wrote.

“He had no idea it was happening, I decided to go up literally 20 seconds before I did. And it was FUN being onstage at a festival again having a silly dance!! Here’s to cool friends and funny surprises. Luv u Harley”. Watch fan-shot footage regramed by Lorde below.

Flume recently assured fans that his long-awaited second album is very much underway. “I’ve got a bunch of stuff down and it’s super exciting because I think it’s really strong,” he told triple j last year. “I feel like the first record was really finding my feet, figuring out what music I wanted to make…now that I’ve done that I feel like I’ve got a much clearer idea of what I want to sound like and what I want to discover. It’s exciting.”
