First sideshows announced for Laneway festival 2015
Mysterious London act Jungle, Syracuse punks Perfect Pussy, Vienna-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Sohn and New York hip-hop crew Ratking have all announced Laneway festival sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne.
All three acts will be touring their debut albums. Perfect Pussy will bring their frantic 23-minute debut album Say Yes To Love, led by captivating frontwoman Meredith Graves. Riding a wave of internet buzz and cleverly utilising the talents of King Krule on So Sick Stories, Ratking’s debut album So It Goes was described by our sister site FL’s Tim Klingbiel as “an energetic but easily digestible brand of hip-hop that is sure to elevate the hype surrounding them.”
Meanwhile, Sohn’s debut Tremors was inspired by London’s buzzing hubbub and Vienna’s serene and calming backdrop; and Jungle will bring their intriguing TV On The Radio-esque indie-soul-house hybrid to our shores for the first time.
