Eric Prydz is coming back to Australia for Electric Gardens festival

Australia, we’ve got some very good news – Eric Prydz is coming back our way.

Sweden’s progressive titan has just locked in his very unexpected return down under with the 2017 edition of Electric Gardens festival. Come January and February, Prydz will play “extended sets” at Electric Gardens in both Sydney and Melbourne, as well as hitting Brisbane and Perth for headline shows.

While his career spans well over a decade, the 2017 tour will mark only Prydz’s second ever time in Australia. He made his first visit here with the 2014 edition of Future Music Festival, after overcoming his highly-publicised fear of flying – and while the Swede concedes he still doesn’t relish the prospect of a long-haul flight, it’s something he’s got better at in recent years.  “It’s still a big problem for me, but it’s manageable and if you do it in the right way,” he told inthemix in 2013. “You shouldn’t let stuff interfere and prevent you from doing what you want, not when it’s silly stuff like that.”

Electric Gardens festival debuted in 2016 with a line-up that featured dance music legends like Fatboy Slim, John Digweed and James Zabiela.
