EMC+ heading around the country with Yuksek and TyDi
This December, Electronic Music Conference returns to Sydney. Over three days from Monday December 2 to Wednesday December 4, we’ll be hosting keynote addresses, expert panels, round table discussions and production masterclasses at the iconic Carriageworks, joined all the way by the biggest names in the industry.
But we’re not waiting until the end of the year to get EMC going. This month, we’ve teamed up with the legends at Beatport to host a series of EMC+ events around Australia in the lead-up to the full conference. In Sydney and Melbourne, we’ve got French house authority Yuksek in conversation with Beatport’s Executive Creative Director Clark Warner to discuss the ins and outs of the dance music industry and take questions, while the Parisian producer, remixer and DJ will also be hosting an exclusive production masterclass. In Brisbane, it’s trance gun TyDi who’ll be sitting down with Beatport’s main man, fielding audience questions and showing off his approach to production.
The EMC+ events are exclusively invite only, but inthemix is giving away a limited number of tickets to ITM readers working within the dance music industry. Want to head along? Register your interest on our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane competition page now.
Then come December, EMC 2013 will kick off with a special focus on Australia’s role as one of the biggest players in the Asia-Pacific region. On top of the busy schedule of panels and keynote addresses, the conference will also hold parties, a casual forum for breakout discussions, a dedicated networking stream, interactive exhibits and the Emerging Artists Showcase, dedicated to discovering the best of new homegrown talent. Last year, we had the likes of Tiesto, Diplo, Nina Kraviz, Dillon Francis, Tommy Trash and more on board as speakers. You can count on this year being even bigger.
