Drop everything and buy tickets to Germany’s Melt Festival

Giorgio Moroder, Flume, Sven Vath, Jon Hopkins, Alt-J, Nina Kraviz, Cashmere Cat and…Kylie Minogue are heading up the first line-up announcement for Germany’s super-credible Melt Festival. The utterly enviable line-up also features highlights like Cashmere Cat, Erlend Øye (of The Whitest Boy Alive) with new band The Rainbows, techno legends like Ellen Allien and Chris Leibing, zeitgeist-riding Londoner Kwabs and Modeselektor, returning to run the beach stage with a roster of electronic auteurs like Bonobo, Sophie, Clark, The Bug and more.

It all goes down between 17 and 19 July in the inimitable setting of the Ferropolis – an open air museum of massive industrial machinery – situated beside a lake 90 minutes’ drive from Berlin. Check out the full first line-up and announcement video below; three-day tickets for Melt start at €136 (AUD$195) and are on sale now at the Melt Festival website. [Photo by GoodBY Production]
