“Don’t buy the hype:” Krewella’s Yasmine on Rain Man’s lawsuit

Yesterday, Krewella fans learned that Kris ‘Rain Man’ Trindl – one third of the chart-climbing group – has split from the trio and is suing his former bandmates to the tune of $5 million. In the court documents revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Trindl details his side of the story at length, arguing he was muscled out of the group following problems that arose from his alcoholism.

Now, following a post on the official Krewella Facebook page, Yasmine Yousaf took to Tumblr with a sincere thank you to fans who have offered support. She also urged readers to understand there are two sides to every story. You can read both posts below.

Yousaf also made sure to point out that, despite the acrimony, this isn’t a time to choose sides. “I would never ask anyone to feel or speak ill of [Kris],” she writes. “I hope you all can understand that it is a waste of an emotion to hate someone, and that is exactly what I am trying to avoid right now.”

The Yousaf sisters have told fans that they will be challenging Rain Man’s claims, but can’t give specifics until a proper legal response is prepared. “As we write this letter to you, we are in the studio working on the second album,” they added in the Facebook post yesterday.

The now-duo will continue to tour the US in the months ahead, including a stop at LIGHT in Las Vegas on Halloween weekend. Read the posts below, via Yasmine Yousaf’s Tumblr. This is a story that’s sure to keep evolving.
