DJ Mag reveal the names who placed 100-150, and they’re a whole lot better

Over the weekend, DJ Mag named their Top 100 DJs of 2017, with Dutch prodigy Martin Garrix taking the top spot for the second year running.

As usual, the ranking didn’t arrive without the usual gripings from producers and DJs around the globe, who all pointed out some glaring inconsistencies with the poll. Namely, that ‘Shelter’ hitmaker Porter Robinson only just scraped in at #96, Flume landed at #87 despite the fact he prefers to play live over actually DJing, and that revered selectors like Nina Kraviz and Tiga failed to make the cut at all.

DJ Mag has now revealed the names of the 50 acts that just missed out on the ranking — and to be honest, it’s a much more interesting read.

Robinson’s production partner Madeon sneaks in a #105, while acts like Adam Beyer, Jamie Jones, Cheat Codes and Sigma all appear before #120. A-Trak — generally regarded as one of the best turntablists of all time — lands at #124, and Siberian techno queen Nina Kraviz finally gets a look in at #141. Two dance legends round out the list: Sander Van Doorn and Fatboy Slim, who land at #149 and #150 respectively.

All we’re saying is we know which playlist we’d rather listen to. Check out the full 100-150 below.
