DJ Mag reveal the names who placed 100-150 in this year’s poll

By now, you’d already be plenty familiar with DJ Mag ’s 2014 poll results. With Hardwell retaining the #1 spot for a second year running and mainstage heroes Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Tiesto and Avicii trailing behind him, this year’s top ten was a big room affair. But if you’re wondering what sort of names narrowly missed out on placing in this year’s poll, today we’ve got an answer.

DJ Mag France have revealed the names who placed 100-150 in this year’s poll and it’s an eclectic list. Despite disbanding two years ago, Swedish House Mafia have managed to place just outside the top 100, with international favourites Disclosure, Tchami, Jamie Jones, Bassnectar and Benny Benassi all making the list. There’s also four Australians in this year’s ‘next 50’: Melbourne hero Will Sparks at #126, trance mainstay MaRLo at #135, Future Classic star Flume at #139 and Tommy Trash at #145.

While dance music’s mainstage regulars held onto their spots in DJ Mag’s official 100, this year also saw plenty of movers and shakers. Blasterjaxx shot up 58 places to #13, R3hab ascended 35 spots to #23 and Ummet Ozcan climed no fewer than 68 spots to #31. Oliver Heldens scored a win for future house, shooting into the top 100 for the first time at #34, while Deorro and DVBBS also made major debuts this year, at number 19 and 20 respectively. Check out the full 100-150 list below.
