Disclosure drop their new album’s best track yet
“There’s not any really club music on this one,” Guy Lawrence, one half of superstar duo Disclosure, told Rolling Stone last month about their forthcoming album Caracal. “It’s all very club-influenced, because of the beats, but every song is like Latch or White Noise – a fully structured pop song.”
True to his word, most what we’ve heard so far from this year’s most anticipated album (like Holding On with jazz singer Gregory Porter or the R&B-infused Moving Mountains) isn’t in banger territory. But we’re not complaining – Disclosure have just shared another track that you probably won’t be hearing on dancefloors any time soon, and it might be the new record’s best moment yet.
London neo-soul name Kwabs is front and centre on the brand new Willing & Able, which premiered on BBC Radio 1 overnight and is up on YouTube now for your streaming pleasure. Hear it below.
As the Caracal tracklist reveals, Kwabs is just one of the collaborators Guy and Howard Lawrence have brought on board for their second album. Big guns Lorde and Sam Smith both lend vocals (Smith’s collaboration Omen is already out), joined by R&B favourites The Weeknd and Miguel and Australia’s own Jordan Rakei. Caracal drops worldwide on September 25.
