Diplo has never been one to shy away from collaboration, but his new track ‘Bank Roll’ has taken things to an whole new level.
The new track, which the producer shared on his SoundCloud today, credits no less than six artists — with vocal features from Justin Bieber, Young Thug and Rich The Kid, and additional production provided by Boaz and King Henry. It’s only been online for a few hours, but it’s already notched around 250,000 plays. Listen to it below.
It’s just the latest in the growing trend of dance/hip hop collaborations. A few days ago Scottish hitmaker Calvin Harris shared the tracklisting for his upcoming album, which will feature guest verses from the likes of Travis Scott, Schoolboy Q, Migos, Nicki Minaj, Future, Big Sean, Snoop Dogg, Young Thug and Lil Yachty.
For ‘Bank Roll’, even Justin Bieber has gotten in on the action, rapping the entire first verse of the track. While it’s the first rap he’s dropped in a Diplo track, it’s definitely not the first time the two have collaborated, having linked up on the Major Lazer track ‘Cold Water’ in 2016, and the globe-conquering Jack Ü hit ‘Where Are Ü Now’ in 2015.
