Canadian superstar Deadmau5 has confirmed that he will be bringing his iconic stage set up, the Cube, to Australia for his headlining slot at Creamfields later this year.
It’ll be the first time Australian audiences will get to see the brand new Cube 2.0, which the producer has only been touring with for the last year. Unlike earlier iterations, the 2.0 version features independently moveable LED panels, which can shift and spin throughout the show — see it in action below.
It’s by far the most ambitious of Zimmerman’s setups to date, and he’s admitted that it cost “millions of dollars” and hundreds of hours of work to develop and deliver. So understandably, he doesn’t take too kindly to people that rip it off — as one hapless production manager in Texas discovered last year.
Deadmau5 will headline Creamfields at Flemington Racecourse on November 26 alongside acts like Oliver Heldens, Fedde Le Grand and Showtek. He’ll also appear at Sydney festival Sensation a day earlier, but we don’t know yet whether the Cube 2.0 will be making the trip with him.
