Daft Punk’s brand new track with The Weeknd is here

Three years after the release of their album Random Access Memories, Daft Punk have returned – on a track with The Weeknd.

The robots feature on pop superstar Abęl Tesfaye’s brand new single Starboy, which is part of his forthcoming album of the same name. Starboy is set for release Friday November 25. The listing in Apple Music features 18 tracks, the only other name revealed is track 3, False Alarm. Starboy is the album’s opening song.

This of course wouldn’t be the first time Daft Punk have helped out a chart-topping star in the studio. Back in 2013, ahead of Random Access Memories, the duo played a central role in the production for Kanye West’s album Yeezus. Their work on tracks including Black Skinhead and I Am a God had a raw, visceral edge that didn’t come out on their own disco-indebted album. Adding to the symmetry, Cashmere Cat co-produced Wolves from Kanye’s most recent album The Life of Pablo.
