Could Justice be working on a new album?
It’s been nigh-on three years since we last had an album from French electro titans Justice, but according to Swedish music site FestivalRykten, a follow-up to 2011’s Audio, Video, Disco may be in the works. The site caught up with Justice member Gaspard Auge at Croatia’s FOR Festival and quotes the Parisian producer as saying, “We are working on a new album right now.”
Justice weren’t playing at FOR Festival, although they have kept up a fairly heavy international tour schedule since the release of last year’s live album All Access Arenas and will play their last scheduled gig of 2014 this week at Digital Dreams in Ontario, Canada.
Auge was at the boutique Croatian festival, curated by Australian label Modular, as a fan; and little surprise, considering the festival’s enviable underground line-up that included the likes of Darkside, Klaxons, Erol Alkan, Mark Ronson, Baio, Tensnake and Storm Queen.
With little more than a mention of new material in the works, it’s anyone’s guess as to when we’ll hear what the pair are concocting; in the meantime, we’ll surrender to nostalgia with the full stream of live album Access All Arenas below (and you can also read our feature on the glory days of French electro here).
