Cosmo’s Midnight share the Porter Robinson remix you’ve been waiting for

We first got word that local hitmakers Cosmo’s Midnight were stepping up to remix Porter Robinson back in 2014 and now, almost two years later, the finished product has arrived.

This morning brother act Cosmo and Patrick Liney shared their remix of Robinson’s big hit Sad Machine and you can hear it below. The remix first appeared in Sable’s 2014 mix for triple j, with rips periodically popping up on blogs after that, but this is the first time it’s been officially unveiled. It’s a big moment for the boys: “Thank you Porter Robinson for giving us the opportunity to remix your amazing tune,” the duo wrote on Soundcloud. “Feels good, feels proud.”

Cosmo’s Midnight aren’t the only producers who put their hands up to remix Porter’s debut album. The likes of Odesza, Mat Zo, Chrome Sparks and Slumberjack all contributed previously-unheard edits to last year’s release of Worlds Remixed, after friends like Anamanaguchi and Golden Features shared earlier remixes of Sad Machine and Years of War.

This weekend Cosmo’s Midnight will wrap up their Australian club tour in Perth and Adelaide before heading to the US for a run of shows alongside Wave Racer.
