Coachella unveils 2013 set times

This Friday, Coachella’s hefty 2013 edition kicks off. Over two weekends in the Californian desert, tens of thousands of very lucky punters will roll up to catch headliners Blur, The Stone Roses, Phoenix and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers (and the impressive hundreds-strong supporting cast) do their thing. So it’s high time, then, that the festival unveiled the running order – and now, just a couple of days out from the big start, Coachella’s finally delivered the Weekend 1 set times.

As you’d expect, they’re jam packed. Doing it for the dance fans are names like bass head Bassnectar, Brits Hot Chip, the Skrillex/Boys Noize pairing Dog Blood, plus Luciano, Wolfgang Gartner, Pretty Lights, James Blake, Hardwell and so many more. Seizure music specialists Knife Party have one of the closing slots on Saturday night, while the inimitable Richie Hawtin gets on deck one stage over. Fast-rising Brits Disclosure should be proud of themselves, as without even one album to their name, they’ve scored a closing slot on Sunday – though you’ll have to pick between them and Eric Prydz. But that’s just scratching the surface of what’s on offer at the at Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California from April 12-14 – check out the full set times below.

Of course, even though Sony dispelled those rumours that Daft Punk would be making an appearance, you can bet there’ll still be plenty in the crowd crossing their fingers the iconic Frenchmen decide to grace the stage. Whether or not that happens (we’re not baiting our breath), this edition of the legendary festival is set to be one for the history books.
