Canberra’s getting a huge new festival called Spilt Milk
Three years ago, Foreshore hung up its hat and left a festival-sized hole in Canberra’s summer calendar. But in 2016, everything’s set to change for the ACT: promoters Kicks Entertainment have just announced they’re bringing a brand new festival called to Spilt Milk to town and it looks huge.
Leading the line-up is Flume, who will be playing the only Canberra show of his stacked world tour at Spilt Milk and showing off brand new album Skin.
Local dance favourites Peking Duk, Slumberjack, Paces, Cosmo’s Midnight, Hermitude and L D R U are also on the bill, joined by the likes of Violent Soho, Gang of Youths, Hold siren Vera Blue, rapper All Day and Flume’s Smoke & Retribution collaborator Vince Staples. See the full list of names Spilt Milk have recruited below.
Better yet, the music isn’t all Canberra has to look forward to. Spilt Milk are bringing some of Australia’s best eats – like the world famous Gelato Messina, burger institution Mary’s and Bao Stop – to the festival. On top of that, artists Vans The Omega, George Rose, Phibs and Voir have all been locked in to show off their creative works on site at the event.
It all goes down on Saturday December 3 at Commonwealth Park; pre-sale tickets will go on sale to those who’ve signed up through the website on Tuesday June 14.
