Behold, Adult Disco’s mega Listen Out sideshow

If you missed Classixx and John Talabot at Listen Out over the weekend – or if you’re just keen for round two – we’ve some good news. The brains at Future Classic have announced their much-loved disco and house party Adult Disco is coming back this long weekend, and they’ve got both of the much-loved internationals (and more!) on the bill.

Classixx and John Talabot will be joined by Talabot’s Destiny collaborator Pional on his first ever Australian show, Future Classic’s resident pizza guy Touch Sensitive and the ever-dependable Future Classic DJs this Saturday night at Oxford Art Factory (remember: Monday’s a public holiday, so you’ve got extra time to recover) from “10pm-never”. Tickets are on sale now through Moshtix for $30 a pop…we’d advise moving fast on those.

Previous editions of Adult Disco have featured the talents of Bicep, Holy Ghost!, Todd Terje, Tensnake, Dixon and more, and the score-card’s been consistently excellent since the night’s inception in 2010. “It originally started as a winter party, we thought there was a void in Sydney when things started getting cold, all the festivals had packed up and there wasn’t anything new or interesting on the club horizon,” Future Classic told us around the time of their first birthday. “Another reason was all the moaning in the inthemix forums that there were no decent weeklies and how boring Sydney is! I think our first really big night was with Jacques Renault, we thought, “Shit, we should probably book our summer acts.”
