This summer will open with a bang for techno heads in Melbourne and Sydney (and those willing to travel), with the arrival of new “European-inspired” event Tell No Tales.
Staged by Australian techno institution Hardware, Tell No Tales is taking over The Nursery at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Saturday December 3, before heading to Sydney for a Sunday session at Royal Randwick Racecourse’s Theatre Of The Horse.
As promised, Hardware has delivered a lineup of forward-thinking DJs and live acts for the inaugural edition of Tell No Tales. At the top of the poster is none other than Ricardo Villalobos, the enigmatic DJ and producer renowned for his expansive marathon sets and daring productions. Villalobos is touring steadily across Europe in the lead-up to Tell No Tales, so expect him to arrive here with a next-level bag of records.
The roll-call continues with Berlin-based duo Pan-Pot, whose Second State label is one of the strongest players in tech-house. (If you need a primer for Pan-Pot’s set, look no further than their recent six-hour session at Amnesia in Ibiza.) Then there’s Ghostly International boss Matthew Dear bringing his techno alter-ego Audion for a live set, fast-rising Ukranian DJ and Propaganda label boss Nastia, and Italian trio Agents of Time, whose all-analogue live show will make its Australian debut.
More acts will be announced in coming weeks. The presale has started at Ticketbooth, with the general release on sale from midday, Thursday August 25. Check out the line-up poster below.
