The 2016 Australian ‘Armin Only’ tour has been cancelled

Trance deity Armin van Buuren’s solo tour of Australia this June has been cancelled. The organisers Totem OneLove announced the cancellation last night through the Stereosonic Facebook page, adding that full refunds will be provided to ticket holders.

“We’re disappointed that the shows are not going ahead and for any inconvenience caused to Armin van Buuren’s fans,” Totem OneLove said.

Armin Only: Embrace was to visit Sydney and Melbourne this June, bringing a marathon set from the man himself and full theatrical production. The last Armin Only tour, ‘Intense’, visited Sydney and Melbourne in June 2014.

Totem OneLove’s parent company, US giant SFX, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, and speculation was rife about the future of upcoming tours including Armin Only, Above & Beyond, Mija & Jauz and Joseph Capriati, after Stereosonic’s 2016 tour was cancelled last month and news broke that the team’s Melbourne office was up for rent.

Organisers confirmed to inthemix in April that the upcoming individual tours would not be affected by Stereosonic’s cancellation, and indeed the Joseph Capriati and Jauz & Mija tours are underway right now. inthemix has reached out to organisers for confirmation on the future of Above & Beyond’s ‘Acoustic’ show at the Sydney Opera House on June 6.
