Anna Lunoe’s top 5 club tracks of 2013

One of the Sydney club scene’s greatest assets before she upped sticks for LA, Anna Lunoe is the sort of next level DJ that ends up having to spend half her sets telling other DJs what tune she just dropped. The last time inthemix spoke with Anna, backstage at the Fool’s Gold Day Off block party in L.A, she told us how she was “next-level busy” these days, having spent the last year getting signed to Fools Gold, playing gigs from Dubai to the Dominican Republic to the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, and making a serious clubland splash with her debut single Breathe. So we figured who better to give us her picks for last year’s best club tracks.

#5 Panteros 666 – Baby F16

“Perfect big house. Wish I had made this song so bad.”

#4 Savage Skulls and Douster – TRT

“Big room bangers have gotten a really bad rap the last few years but bangers are the best! You’ve just gotta find the good ones.”

#3 Black Rose (Henrik Schwarz and Jesse Rose) – Sky

“Heard Henrik play this on Boiler Room and spent most the year waiting for it to come out. Those vocals!”

#2 Sinden Presents The Crystal System – Step Back

“When I play this song I can pretty much count to ten and bank on there being a DJ looking over my shoulder to find out what the track is. The Crystal System is Sinden in utter beast mode.”

#1 Wordlife – Breakthrough

“One of my absolute faves from 2013, or ever. I played this in 90% of my shows last year and will continue to. Total weapon.”
