Amnesia Ibiza has been raided by police
Ibiza superclub Amnesia has been raided by police, Resident Advisor report.
Spanish officials entered the club yesterday after it closed and arrested four employees, including owner Martin Ferrer. According to local publication Diario de Ibiza, the Spanish Civil Guard arrived together with officials from the Organised Crime Team, Drug Enforcement Administration and Tax Agency, acting as part of an investigation into money laundering and corporate tax evasion. El Mundo, however, claim the raid was drug related.
Despite the raid, Amnesia opened as usual today to host its weekly Tuesday night bash Together. Amnesia is also host to Sven Vath’s weekly techno party Cocoon and, at the other end of the spectrum, Paris Hilton’s Foam and Diamonds bash.
Amensia has yet to make an official statement about the raid, confirming only that the club would continue to open as planned.
