Above & Beyond just locked in one more Australian show
Last month, trance titans Above & Beyond announced their biggest Australian show ever. This September, they’ll hit Allphones Arena to broadcast the 150th episode of their Group Therapy radio show live from Sydney, with a crowd of their biggest fans there to help ring it in. It will be the first time the band have brought the annual AGBT radio celebration to the Southern Hemisphere, so it’s no surprise that every last ticket to the show snapped up in under three hours.
But if you missed out on tickets when they went on sale last week, all’s not lost. Jono, Tony and Paavo have just announced a second Australian show and this time, it’s in Melbourne. Above & Beyond will play at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday September 25, with tickets going on sale Thursday May 14 at 10am through Ticketmaster.
“We’re aware that a good number of our Melbourne fans missed out on tickets or couldn’t afford to make the journey up to New South Wales for ABGT150,” the group’s Paavo Siljamí¤ki said in a press release, “and since New Year’s Day at the Sydney Myer Music Bowl was one of our favourite shows of the year, we decided to check with the venue to see if it was available on Friday September 25th. I’m delighted to say that it is available, so we have booked it for a special We Are All We Need album show, the night before ABGT150.”
Above & Beyond’s New Year’s Day show a the Sidney Myer Music Bowl saw over 8000 fans turn out for the sold out performance. So if you want to be there this September, we’d advise being at the ready when tickets go on sale next week.
