A-Trak drops wild Fool’s Gold Day Off after-movie and a brand-new remix

In addition to turning out a succession of on-point releases, A-Trak’s label Fool’s Gold has become renowned for its ‘Day Off’ block parties. The tour stopped in the label’s hometown of Brooklyn, New York, on Labor Day last month with a stacked line-up in tow; and now comes the recap video that shows how it all went down.

Distilling a day’s worth of wild sets into a few minutes, the highlights reel puts you front and centre for the roster of hip-hop heavyweights like French Montana, Cam’ron and Danny Brown alongside trap pros AraabMuzik, Brenmar, Hoodboi and more. As the Fool’s Gold team puts it, “We say this after every Labor Day, but this year’s NY Day Off was our absolute craziest yet.”

If you’re lucky enough to be in the US over the next few months, then you can catch the ‘Day Off’ tour as it continues on to LA, Atlanta and Miami with confirmed guests like Travi$ Scott, Low Pros, reunited DJ dream team The Invisibl Skratch Piklz and the main man himself, A-Trak.

Aside from his duties as label boss, A-Trak keeps up a relentless schedule of collaborative projects. This year alone he produced a new album with Armand Van Helden as Duck Sauce; an EP with Lex Luger under the banner of Low Pros; and another joint EP with Dipsets’ Cam’ron titled Federal Reserve. In the midst of all that, he’s also managed to turn out a new remix for Sleepless by Swedish duo Cazzette.
