A new festival is hitting Sydney this summer
Summer is approaching fast and Australia’s festival options are multiplying. First Brisbane got the news that they’re being treated to the brand new festival FOMO and now, it’s Sydney in luck.
New event Electric Gardens will debut this Australia Day long weekend, taking over Sydney’s Centennial Park with a seriously impressive line-up. So far there’s only three names on the bill, but it’s a quality-over-quantity affair: Fatboy Slim, John Digweed and James Zabiela are all locked in for sets, with “more international DJs” still to be announced.
“This summer Sydney is about to experience something very special,” promoters say. “For the first time in many years a new boutique house music festival arrives next to the city centre – an event which aims to change the way you celebrate your Australia Day weekend.” Better yet, they’re promising to deliver extended set times for the internationals on the bill.
The party happens on Saturday January 23 and while tickets aren’t on sale yet, you can sign up through the website to be the first to hear when pre-sales become available. [Photo via Bestival Facebook page]
