A bunch of seriously great dance albums dropped today
Friday is album release day in Australia and on this particular Friday, dance fans have been seriously spoilt.
This morning, no less than five albums that you should definitely check out were released. Kaytranada’s anticipated 99.9% has arrived and features a track with comeback hero Craig David, James Blake has shared his LP The Colour in Anything, Tourist dropped his break-up themed debut U, Anthony and the Johnsons singer Anohni has shared her HudMo and Oneohtrix Point Never-produced solo record Hopelessness and Skepta has finally delivered the long-awaited Konnichiwa – on a day he happens to be in Japan, no less.
How did I end up in Japan the day my album drops? I named my album like 2 years ago.

If you like what you hear, the good news is that some of those names have Australian tours on the horizon. Kaytranada will be going around the country in October, James Blake is on the Splendour in the Grass line-up and Tourist will be hitting Sydney and Melbourne in August. Skepta was last in the country over the New Year’s period for a string of festivals including Field Day and FOMO.
Wrap your ears around the 99.9% and Konnichiwa below and head to Spotify (or your streaming service of choice) for the rest. Your next month of listening = sorted.
